looks like a good thing to add in the next release of CHOICE:


I was bored and wrote the attached "choice compatibilty chart".
Annotation 3 and 4 show bugs in Freedos choice imho.
Accepting extended keys is debateable, MS/PC-DOS does it.
Not beeping on invalid keyhits is cosmetic but still incompatible.
Nifty batch files that check for the existance of choice.com won't work with
freedos.

Never mind on this one.  Achim sent me a followup that he would prefer his
CHOICE compatibility chart not be included in a release of CHOICE, but instead
posted as  a technote.  I've posted it here:

Please don't distribute any beta version of choiccmp.txt anywhere and don't put
the final version into the choice package, make it a technote or sth. I don't
plan to update that file after version 1.0.

And just as a final note: any new lists that Achim sends me will be updated on
the FreeDOS site.  I'll block access to 191 until finalized.
