It is highly inappropriate for any person who is >contributing towards the FreeDOS Project to have any "inside" knowledge >of the MS-DOS source code. For this reason, you should not have posted >this URL. I ask you not to do this again. I delete mail that suggests >things like this. I don't want to unnecessarily bother those people that are actively developing for FreeDOS, but things like this are one more reason to create some development documentation along with the code to have a (not 100%) proof that they have developed the code on their on and not just copied from such sources. And i highly doubt that the M$ source code alone is helpful without the necessary background documentation. Ralf _________________________________________________________________ I completly understand your point. You seemed to missed our point though. If there is *any* reason for a software company to belive that there is even *one* *line* of their *copyrighted* code in another product, they are entitled to sue for punitive damages. This of course is a *bad* thing for an open source project. This means that the developers on this list *cannot* even download this software to verify it! FreeDOS is a clean room work alike aiming to be compatable with MSDOS. This fact precludes the possibility of even thinking of snatching this code. Besides Plagarism is something developers *hate* in general - I remember some caldera developer rebadging the freedos mouse driver and releasing it as their own. (What did happen there in the end?) I hope that clarifies any remaining questions you have :-) Being flamed is a fact of life on the net, next time wear asbestos underwear :-) Best Regards, -Simon
