  - Standard article about the upcoming FreeDOS "1.0" release. Approximate English translation: DOS lives - FreeDOS will be released at the end of July. The free operating system is almost fully compatible with MS-DOS (?) - created in response to the attitude(?) of MS-DOS. The FreeDOS Project intends to release at the end of July version 1.0 of the free operating system. The developers communicated this on Saturday. Before that, a test version will be published on 15 July. Almost fully compatible with MS-DOS. FreeDOS is open source software and is almost fully compatible with MS-DOS. The project started in 1994 - after Microsoft announced MS-DOS was going to be retired.
